You are invited to attend the DFL precinct caucus Tuesday, February 2, at 7:00 PM. Precinct caucuses are meetings organized by Minnesota’s political parties to begin the process of selecting candidates for the 2010 election and policy positions to shape the party platform. Caucuses are held in locations across Minnesota and are open to the public. In Northfield, the DFL caucus will be held at the Northfield Middle School on CR 246, and in Belle Plaine, it will be held at the District Center (or Old Jr. High) at 130 S. Willow St. For more information and other caucus locations, please visit the website of the Office of the Minnesota Secretary of State.
DFL Chair Brian Melendez said in a statement today that “we are refocusing our efforts on putting a DFL Governor back in the statehouse. We have an impressive and diverse field of candidates running for office around the state, all campaigning to address the real problems that Minnesota families are facing, and that is the kind of leadership Minnesotans will look for when they go to the polls once again in November.”
