Rock for Democracy at Javalive

Saturday December 6th I joined

Patti Fritz and

Jeremy Kalin of Young Progressives and many other good Democrats at the Javalive Coffee shop in Faribault for some great music presented by

Bonnie and the Clydes.

Young Progressives is an issues oriented group organized to engage young people in grass roots politics. In addition to working with this group Jeremy, who is from Lindstrom, Minnesota is running for the Minnesota House Seat 17B. He described the work they’ve been doing with a letter campaign to congress to over turn the FCC decision to make it easier for our media to be controlled by a few media outlets.

In addition to my regular job I have been busy working to complete a Master of Arts Degree in Education from St. Mary’s University. So I have not been blogging as much as I had hoped.

Coming soon you will find blogs on Health Care/Insurance issues, Affordable Housing, Economic fairness, Education Finance and policy, and more about energy. I won’t get to them right away, so I would welcome anything you might want to suggest. Either as a comment on one of these issues, something else you’ve read in this blog or an idea you want to suggest.

So feel free to click on the ‘contact’ button in the blue box to the left of this blog under my picture and send me something to ponder. I really do want to know what you are thinking.
