Every year for the past ten I’ve joined some great friends on an annual fishing trip to Lake Plantagenet, near Bemidji. It is a great opportunity to enjoy the outdoors and a beautiful Minnesota Lake. This year in addition to my license I bought a walleye stamp to help restock the lakes. The photos above are from a few years ago this year was a lot more comfortable, temperatures in the 80s. Dan Daly is the organizer who gets us all together; Mark Anderson, our guide, can find the fish when no one else is catching; and Gene Johnson is the master of the four-handed cribbage game, there everyone can fish, using different techniques and accessories such as bass fishing lures you’ll love for this sport. Thanks to Mark we almost always catch our limit and Dan creates a great fish fry, I prepare the sides. All of us have ties through our work with Alternative Education.
This year the weather was great as you can see in the photo of me jigging my line. Once again we caught our limit and had a great meal with a few left over to bring home.
